Troubleshooting imports

Authentication code errors

If the import fails because the authentication code is invalid:

  1. Correct the authentication code.
  2. Go to Add Company, search for the company, and select Update.
  3. Choose the Overwrite option and import again.

Importing with a valid authentication code brings in the full company data. Without a code, only public data is imported.

The import is stuck or the loading spinner never finishes

Contact BGL Support with the company name and company number. Our Product Team will investigate.

The import fails because of share capital or shareholder data

If the Companies House data for share capital or shareholders cannot be processed (for example, it contains invalid characters), the import cannot complete on its own. Please do not retry repeatedly. Contact BGL Support and the Product Team can complete the import for you.

Share transaction dates show the import date

Shareholder transactions default to the date of import. To correct a date, click the three dots on the transaction, select Edit, and enter the original date.

LLPs cannot be imported

Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) cannot be imported into CAS 360.
