Comparison Report - Limitations and Known Display Issues

The Comparison Report shows differences between the data in CAS 360 and the data held at Companies House. Not every difference means your data is wrong. This article explains what the report does, what it does not do, and which differences are known display issues.

What the report does

  • Compares your CAS 360 company data with the Companies House record.
  • Helps you find changes that were filed outside CAS 360, so you can update your records.

What the report does not do

CAS 360 does not automatically update from Companies House when a change is filed elsewhere. Use the Comparison Report to spot these differences, then update the details manually in CAS 360.

Known display issues

Address shows the first-added address

The report can show the first address added rather than the one with the latest effective date. This is a display issue only. A permanent fix is in progress.

  • To correct how it appears, update the address manually on the contact in the Contacts screen.

Share capital or shareholder differences

Some share capital and shareholder differences are display issues only. The data submitted to Companies House in the filing is correct.

Shareholder dates show the import date

When shareholders are imported, the transaction date defaults to the import date rather than the original date.

To correct it: 1. Open the shareholding transactions. 2. Click the three dots on the transaction. 3. Select Edit and enter the correct date. 4. Repeat for each transaction.
