When preparing certain Companies House forms in CAS 360, you may see the following error message

'Name' is missing the Companies House Personal Code

This means the contact linked to the form is missing their Companies House Personal Code, which is required for electronic document lodgement.

Affected forms

This error will prevent document preparation or lodgement for the following Companies House forms:

  • PSC01 – Notification of a person with significant control

  • IN01 – Application to register a company

  • AP01 – Appointment of a director

Why does this error appear

When lodging documents that include individual contacts (such as directors, shareholders, or persons with significant control), Companies House requires each individual to have a Personal Code associated with their contact record.

If this code is not entered in CAS 360, the system cannot complete or lodge the form, resulting in the above error message.
