Summary
If a filing from CAS 360 fails with error 3208, the problem is with your Companies House credit account, not with the card you use to pay BGL.
Two separate payments
| Payment | Who it is paid to | Managed in |
|---|---|---|
| CAS 360 subscription | BGL | MyBGL |
| Companies House filing fees | Companies House | Your Companies House account |
Saving a card in BGL does not pay Companies House filing fees. A Companies House account is required for all electronic filings made through CAS 360.
What error 3208 means
Error 3208 means the Companies House credit account used for the filing is at its limit. The filing was not accepted for that reason. It is not caused by a declined BGL/Stripe card, and trying a different payment card in CAS 360 will not fix it.
How to fix it
- Log in to your Companies House account.
- Top up the credit account, or raise the balance so it covers the filing fee.
- Return to CAS 360 and re-lodge the filing.
If your BGL subscription payment has failed
That is a different issue. Update your card in MyBGL. See How to view and update your CAS 360 Payment Details using MyBGL.
