Unsupported Entity Types in CAS 360 UK

CAS 360 UK supports lodgement with Companies House for standard companies. Some entity types are not supported for electronic filing. This article explains which types are affected, what you can still do in CAS 360, and how to complete your filings.

Entity types that are not supported

Entity type Import into CAS 360 Lodge forms from CAS 360 Incorporate via CAS 360
Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Cannot be imported No No
Company limited by guarantee Can be added for record-keeping No No
Charitable company Can be added for record-keeping No No

What you can still do

  • Add the company manually to your CAS 360 licence so it is recorded alongside your other clients.
  • Mark the Confirmation Statement (CS01) as Manually Filed after you file it directly with Companies House, then update the confirmation statement date so your due dates stay accurate. See How to Mark a Confirmation Statement as Manually Filed.

What you cannot do

  • Lodge forms for these entity types to Companies House from CAS 360.
  • File a CS01 electronically from CAS 360 for these entity types.
  • Incorporate an LLP or a company limited by guarantee through Company Registrations.

How to file instead

File directly on the Companies House website, then return to CAS 360 and record the filing (for example, mark the CS01 as Manually Filed).

Why does my LLP import fail?

LLPs cannot be imported. If an import spins or errors on an LLP, this is expected behaviour rather than a fault.
